JOB Production Engineer
LOCATION Peterborough
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Main Responsibilities:
  • Actively uphold and promote high-quality standards across production processes.
  • Address daily quality issues and non-conformities within product and service offerings, identifying and implementing solutions or recommending actions to management and teams.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers and teams, including production, design, and procurement, to address quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Work proactively with cross-functional teams to promote quality standards, best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming goods and materials as required to maintain standards.
  • Partner with the HSQE team and other departments to drive quality improvements and reduce non-conformities across operations.
  • Ensure that feedback from quality solutions is effectively communicated to relevant business areas.
  • Support the non-conformity (NC) system by closing out NCs as appropriate.
  • Raise Sales Order Unrem and Production Orders as needed for fabrication modifications or rectification work.
  • Coordinate with auditors to complete final quality audits on finished machines, both internal and external.
  • Manage the parts return process and perform investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Visit suppliers and fabricators to conduct quality checks and address any identified issues
Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance within an engineering or manufacturing setting, particularly in managing non-conformance and corrective actions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify issues, engage with others, and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey quality standards and solutions clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools for data management and information processing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft D365 is beneficial (training will be provided if required).
  • Relevant qualifications in quality or technical management, such as ISO 9001 certification or NVQ/C&G level certifications.
