Our client is seeking a skilled Development Engineer to join our Aftertreatment Engineering Team. This contract role focuses on developing IC engine components and aftertreatment solutions for Off-highway applications.
Role: Design and Development Engineer
Experience: 3+ years
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Contract: 12 months
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate IC engine components and emissions modules.
- Work with global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites.
- Solve quality and manufacturing issues with innovative solutions.
- Lead FMEA, risk identification, and validation planning.
- Support field and production issue resolution.
Skills & Experience:
- HNC/Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering preferred.
- Experience in aftertreatment systems, emissions modules, and IC engines.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, 6 Sigma, and APQP tools.
- Proficiency in Team Centre and Microsoft O365.
