TeamJobs is hiring a Development Engineer to join a talented engineering team based in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-pressure fuel systems for off-highway diesel engines, supporting major product development initiatives from concept through to validation and release.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and testing of engine components, with a focus on high-pressure fuel systems.

  • Plan and deliver complex engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical, cost, and timeline requirements.

  • Analyse data, report findings, and provide recommendations for design improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and supply chain.

  • Use data processing and analysis tools to support decision-making and reporting.



Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • 6+ years of experience in engineering, ideally in off-highway, powertrain or diesel engine environments.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals and component development.

  • Experience with high-pressure fuel systems is highly preferred.

  • Good understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering data tools.

  • Self-motivated, with excellent project management and communication skills.



Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid working: Minimum 3 days onsite per week in Peterborough (some weeks may require more).

  • Flexible working hours offered.
