COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS MANAGER - CONTRACT CATERING - MULTI-PURPOSE VENUE - SITUATED NEAR PETERBOROUGH - LIVE OUT - 42,000 STARTING SALARY

We are assisting in the recruitment of a commercial operations manager, responsible for the Food & Beverage operations at this well established venue. Working for an established contract catering business who have been appointed to oversee the F&B operations, which include an on-site restaurant, coffee shop and fast-food kiosks, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of these businesses as well as develop a long-term development and growth strategy for the client.

Employed by the contract catering business but working closely and reporting into the senior management of the venue, you will balance the needs of your employer with the requirements of the venue and act as a conduit for the businesses and the customers, your role will include:

  • Manage the team, including recruiting, training and disciplinary requirements
  • Manage P&L and budgets, ensuring that you are managing these effectively
  • Deal with any complaints or queries relating to the departments under your control
  • Work closely with the on-site businesses, ensuring good communication and understanding between the different businesses
  • Support and coach those around you, ensuring a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Plan around special events and functions

Working at this high-profile venue with fantastic facilities and amenities, you will have excellent organisational skills and able to plan and prioritise the needs of the business effectively. You will have:

  • General Management experience within a food operation, ideally within a Contract Catering environment
  • Have experience in managing a diverse business that generates over 1.2m pa
  • Manage a team of over 25 employees across multiple on-site venues
  • Excellent grasp of figures and able to communicate across various platforms
  • The ability to make business decisions and lead your team accordingly

The company are offering an initial starting salary of 42,000 for a 40-hour working week. In addition there is:

  • Day shifts only (no late nights required)
  • Company bonus scheme

This is a live-out position and due to the remote location, only applicants who can commute to the venue by either car or motorbike will be considered.
