Role - Technical Manager (Plant Science)Salary -Salary dependent on experience Location - Peterborough Russell Taylor group has a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Manager within the horticulture/ Plant Science industry to join our clients leading household name. Our client is looking for someone with previous new product development experience, as well as an understanding of regulatory compliance and ability to provide technical support to the consumer divisions in the group. If you're looking to join a rapidly expanding company and have the skill set above, then please apply within.Responsibilities • Lead the plant protection products and biocides portfolio,• Drive and manage new product development - be able to commercially justify new product opportunities with a long-term project of 5 years.• Manage regulation and formulation requirements for regulated and non-regulated products.• Provide technical support with commercial and production. • Deliver leading innovation in chemical, non- chemical and horticulture controls.• Develop and maintain product portfolio for future consumers. • Lead and support the regulatory requirements for the company- communicate to third parties.• Ensure that any new and existing products are made to required standards. • Work closely with the training team to ensure delivery of technical information. • Work closely with European and International commercial partners to develop new opportunities. • Oversea and benchmark with competitors. • Continually driving improvements and innovative technologies• Understanding consumer trends• Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers.The Person• Previous experience working in a technical management role within the Agri Chemical, Horticulture, Plant Science, household controls or chemicals.• Previous experience working in new product development. • Previous experience of working with internal and external stakeholders. • Always work to high standards and drive to succeed in a challenging environment. • Have an analytical mindset.• Must be able to work alone and as part of a team.• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and working to set targets and timelines. • Will have excellent technical knowledge and work well with key stakeholders within the business. • Ability to win new business opportunities.• Confident communicator • Willingness to travel UK and internally when required.Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
