About the Role
As a Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll work on designing mechanical systems that are essential to modern buildings. From HVAC systems to energy-efficient solutions, you’ll be involved in projects from concept to completion, supported by a collaborative team of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and specification of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and renewable technologies.
- Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment selection to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated designs.
- Prepare technical drawings, reports, and documentation.
- Participate in site surveys, inspections, and client meetings.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, building regulations, and sustainability goals.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional with the following attributes:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design within the building services sector.
- Familiarity with design software such as IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD, or Revit.
- Knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for sustainability and innovative design solutions.
