- You will take the customer vision and requirements, stated standards and legislation for the product, and isolate the relevant parts.
- Then develop a set of requirements across multiple domain areas (Mechanical Engineering, Design, Electrical Engineering, Control systems, Instrumentation, Quality, Safety, Production etc.)
- You will take the lead in developing the customer-specific system design / architecture including Configuration Management.
- Create documentation that links customer requirements, standards and legislation to requirements, compliance statements, verification and validation activities and evidence.
- Produce documentation that describes the system from a requirements point of view (System Requirement Document, Contract Design Engineering Datasheets, and Order Datasheets
- Have a strong understanding of basic systems engineering principles and the systems engineering V model, with the ability to implement this understanding in a dynamic working environment.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject, e.g. Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years experience working in a systems engineering, ideally within Aerospace or the Defence Sector.
- Be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and have experience in a design and engineering environment.
- Experience of new equipment development projects through the entire life cycle with experience of dealing with complex customer specifications.
