We are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team in Peterborough on a fixed-term contract basis due to maternity leave. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior payroll experience, offering full training and a chance to work within a dynamic finance team.

- Download and process payroll data from internal systems.
- Calculate mileage and travel time payments.
- Respond to email and telephone queries.
- Raise billing and invoicing for services provided.
- Import and balance payroll data within the payroll software.
- Work towards department KPIs alongside your team.
- Support other team members during holiday periods.
- Send out documents including customer invoices and payslips.
- Assist the finance team with other administrative tasks to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Previous experience within a payroll environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of handling queries effectively.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work flexibly within a team and meet strict deadlines.
