Governance & Compliance Assistant

Peterborough / Remote

£28,500 - £30,000 per annum

Full Time - Permanent - 37 hours per week - Hybrid/Remote Working

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about governance and compliance? Our client is looking for a motivated individual to join their growing and dynamic team!

To be successful in this role, they are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal

  • A proactive approach to problem solving and a desire to learn

  • A familiarity and working knowledge of the Consumer Standards Housing Framework

Key responsibilities:

  • Support with the administration of the Group Board, sub-committees, key internal meetings and ad hoc requirements, managing and leading entire meeting process, including minuting, diary control and forward planning.

  • Support the business by conducting compliance surveys and transactional surveys to assess business performance in key areas.

  • Provide support to ensure they meet regulatory and compliance standards, in particular compliance with the Consumer Standards.

  • Be the first point of contact for Consumer Standards related queries as the subject matter expert.

  • Work with stakeholders across the business to support compliance with; governance and compliance standards, reviewing processes and monitoring compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Support completion of annual returns and financial statements, including submissions to the FCA and Companies House.

  • Provide secondary support for all Anti Money Laundering (AML) requirements, including managing the online registration with HMRC.
