Our partner school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all our pupils. We are currently seeking a compassionate and proactive Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our small provision, which supports two pupils with complex autism and personal care needs.

Starting ASAP until at least the end of this academic year, the working hours will be Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:30.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including pad changing, to pupils with complex needs.
  • Support pupils with complex autism in their daily activities and learning.
  • Work independently, as there is no class teacher in the provision.
  • Facilitate pupils' full access to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision and outdoor space.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, the SENCO, and other staff members.
  • Demonstrate creativity and the ability to think on your feet in a dynamic and busy role.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with complex needs and autism.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Creativity and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
  • Willingness to provide personal care to pupils.
