Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading SEN School to find a Teaching Assistant to join the team in Peterborough.

The School provides support and care for children with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours, promoting independence, choice and valuing individual uniqueness and diversity.

Duties:

  • Prepare lessons with teachers, including evaluating and adjusting lessons in response to pupilsā€™ needs.
  • Provide short-term cover in response to teacher absence
  • Provide written and verbal feedback on lesson content, pupil response to learning activities, and pupil behaviour, to teachers and pupils in line with the school policy.
  • Motivate and progress pupils learning following school policies and guidance from teachers.
  • Organise and safely manage the appropriate learning environment and resources
  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, both in the classroom and as part of first-quality teaching and through intervention work

Experience/Qualifications:

  • GCSEs at grades A* to C in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with children (Desirable)
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification relevant to the post (Desirable)

Hours: 8.30 - 4.00pm Monday - Friday, finish time at 5.00pm on Wednesdays for a full staff meeting
