Are you passionate about engineering, data acquisition, and working with cutting-edge technology? We are looking for a Proving Test Instrumentation Technician to join our Global Engine Development (GED) team in Peterborough. This role offers the opportunity to work with off-highway machines, including hybrids and EVs, supporting electrical integration and instrumentation solutions.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain traceable instrumentation solutions.

  • Support the electrical integration of various powertrains and machine systems.

  • Diagnose and repair data logging systems and sensors.

  • Operate off-highway vehicles, including excavators, loaders, telehandlers, and tractors.

  • Read and interpret engineering electrical drawings.

  • Produce electrical looms to interface powertrains with machines.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and maintain a clean working environment.

  • Travel to off-site test and development facilities, including some overseas locations.

  • Undertake training and professional development as required.



What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in instrumentation and data acquisition.

  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and procedures.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Flexible approach to tasks and responsibilities.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software.

  • Relevant higher education (working towards or completed NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

  • Willingness to undergo necessary training.
