Job Title: Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist – Older People’s Mental Health
Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for a Band 8a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join the Older People’s Mental Health team in Peterborough. This is a full-time role, offering a mix of face-to-face clinical contacts and some remote working.
Key Responsibilities

Provide therapy to older adults with a range of psychiatric conditions, focusing on complex or comorbid cases that require specialised care beyond primary care psychological therapies.

Work closely with the well-established multidisciplinary team (MDT), including psychiatrists and nurses, to deliver comprehensive mental health support.

Engage in face-to-face clinical work at least three days per week, with the option for remote working for non-clinical tasks.

Collaborate with the team to assess, plan, and implement effective treatment plans for older adults with functional mental health illnesses.
Position Details:
- Location: City Care Centre, Peterborough (With potential for some remote working)
- Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
- Contract Duration: Minimum 6 months (to provide a full course of treatment to patients with complex needs)
- Rate: £35.00 per hour
- Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available
Requirements:
- Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with experience in secondary care mental health, preferably with older adults
- HCPC Registration
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage complex caseloads
- Enhanced DBS Check (adults) required
