Technical Manager – Water Non-Infrastructure

Location: Peterborough
Start Date: 31/01/2025 (1 year)
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Rate: £500 to £650 per day depending on experience – Umb PAYE

About the Role:
Red Sky Personnel is recruiting an experienced Technical Manager to lead the design and delivery of value-driven engineering solutions for a major programme of clean water (potable) non-infrastructure projects.
As a key technical leader, you will manage a team of engineers to develop innovative and sustainable designs that align with capital investment programme objectives. Projects in this programme include:

  • Nitrate and PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) removal.
  • Taste and odour management.
  • Water Treatment Works (WTW) upgrades and return-to-service projects.
  • Potable water reservoir upgrades, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Borehole development and refurbishment.
  • Supernatant return systems.
  • Potable and raw water pumping stations.
  • Chemical dosing systems.

What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Degree in Engineering (or equivalent qualification) or the ability to demonstrate degree-level knowledge through relevant experience.
  • Chartered status (or be actively working towards it).
  • Extensive experience in the water sector, capital projects, or a design and build environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive an engineering team and deliver technical excellence.
  • A track record of creating practical, value-driven solutions to meet complex project requirements.
