We are searching for a Strategic Buyer to join a growing team. You will be working on a spend profile of around £50 million and dealing with the strategic sourcing.

Location: Peterborough
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 p.a.

Job Responsibilities:
- Enforce procurement policies and procedures
- Contract renewals and associated process
- New supplier onboarding
- Accountable for the quality of purchase order output
- Delivery of professional and expert service delivery to local geography
- Develop and implement efficient processes, procurement tools and strategies aligned with the company's objectives and market trends to enhance productivity and effectiveness
- Conduct RFI, RFP, RFQ activity and present succinct outcomes
- Negotiate mid to high value contracts
- Compliance to policies and any regulatory requirements for the geography
- Conduct market research, identify potential suppliers and negotiate favourable contracts and terms
- Monitor supplier performance, manage relationships and implement strategies to enhance vendor partnerships
- Provide information and data to contribute to Management Information
- Use procurement analytics from various sources to forecast, identify risks and drive mitigation strategies and / or levers for procurement
- Assist implementing Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance criteria to procurement
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in procurement
- Proficient and sourcing suppliers
- Experience with ERP systems
- Contract negotiation
