We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading construction firm for a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will have proven experience in commercial and risk management, ideally within a senior role at a main contractor or developer.

Key Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent in Surveying/Construction
  • Experience in residential housing development
  • Strong IT, analytical, and communication skills
  • Solid experience in budget management and negotiation
  • Experience with COINs is preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to work within a team
  • MCIOB or RICS membership (preferred)
  • Familiarity with timber frame and other construction methods

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitability and cash flow on contracts
  • Manage contract and subcontract documentation
  • Agree valuations and variations with clients
  • Oversee subcontract accounts from inception to final account
  • Implement procurement strategy in line with company procedures
