Cocktail Bar Assistant Manager

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our cocktail bar team in Peterborough City Centre. The ideal candidate will assist the General Manager in overseeing operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Manager in daily operations, including staff management, scheduling, and training.

- Ensure exceptional customer service and address any guest concerns or inquiries promptly.

- Oversee bar and floor operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

- Support in inventory management, including ordering and stock control.

- Help develop and implement promotional activities to enhance customer engagement and sales.

- Train and mentor staff to maintain a knowledgeable and friendly team.

- Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting and financial reporting.

- Ensure compliance with licensing laws and other legal requirements.

- Step in to perform duties of bar staff when necessary to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.

- Experience with till and booking systems.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Knowledge of cocktails and mixology is a plus.

- Relevant management or hospitality qualifications are advantageous.
