Sales Assistant

About the opportunity:

We are the internal recruitment partner for this organisation, a leading family run business within the Caravan and Leisure industry.  Due to internal promotion, we have a brilliant new opportunity for a Retail Sales Assistant to join our busy accessories department located in Eye, Peterborough.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an excellent service when serving customers both face to face and when answering incoming telephone enquiries.

This role will involve stock replenishment, maintaining the appearance of the store, managing deliveries (some heavy lifting is required) and controlling the movement of stock through our in-house computer system however, full training will be provided.

You will have great interpersonal and communication skills as you will be working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure the very best in customer service delivery.

You will gain strong product knowledge of the bespoke caravan equipment and accessories.

Requirements

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Confidence in liaising with customers with the ability to build a rapport.
• Previous experience within a customer facing role.
• Previous experience within a retail environment would be desirable but not essential.
• General computer skills with experience of using internal systems would be beneficial.
• A strong communicator with good time keeping skills.
• The ability to safely lift heavy equipment.
