The One Group are on the look out for a proactive, bubbly & motivated Apprentice to join our fantastic Finance team in Peterborough on a permanent basis.This is a brilliant opportunity to be hands on from day one, as well as studying towards your AAT's.This role would either suit a school/college leaver or recent finance graduate who is looking for their first role, with huge exposure where you will have immense job satisfaction.You will report directly into the Finance Manager, who will be able to support and guide you through learning the ropes. Responsibilities: Accounts payable:
- Ensure all supplier invoices are posted before month end, paid within terms, checking accruals, reconciling accounts/nominal codes and liaising with suppliers to retrieve any missing invoices or supporting other queries.
- Ensuring the purchase ledger is tidy in preparation for monthly reporting and highlight any issues to my manager.
Contractors:
- Making sure they are compliant with our requirements, that we receive their invoices in a timely manner, and they're paid to our terms.
- Running of a weekly temporary workers payroll in its entirety including journals, margin reports, reconciliations, pension, holiday, setting up new starters and processing leavers.
- Quarterly onshore reporting to HMRC, gathering accurate information and reporting it before the deadline.
Finance Administration:
- Management of both payroll and accounts payable mailboxes making sure all communication methods are efficient and effective.
- Answering accounts main phone - solving accounts queries from supplier and customers as well as our temporary workers.
- Daily internal queries for accounts payable and payroll.
- Calculation of commission reports, sending reports to each consultant and answer any queries.
- Fleet management of 10+ vehicles - monitoring lease payments, servicing, mileage and insurance.
If you want to pursue your AAT's through this apprenticeship, you will be provided with study support, which will include 1 day per week for study, or if you would rather work 5 days per week, study can be completed in the evening. Benefits:
- £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (depending on experience)
