About the Role:

TimePlan Education is partnering with a thriving school in Peterborough to find a passionate Science Teacher to join their team. This full-time supply role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the school's growth and deliver high-quality Science lessons starting after Easter. The successful candidate will help shape the future of the department, providing expert subject knowledge and engaging lessons to inspire students.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Engaging Science Lessons: Provide inspiring and effective teaching that caters to a range of student abilities.
  • Department Development: Contribute to the strategic direction of the Science department and lead staff training to improve pedagogy.
  • Student Achievement: Focus on raising standards by monitoring progress, providing feedback, and tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to support the implementation of school-wide policies and initiatives.
  • Professional Development: Plan and facilitate workshops for staff to improve teaching practices and foster a collaborative environment.


Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Teaching Qualification: Must hold a recognized teaching qualification and a relevant degree (or equivalent).
  • Outstanding Teaching Practice: Proven track record of delivering exceptional lessons with effective behavior management.
  • Experience: Previous experience in lesson observations, providing feedback, and improving student outcomes.
  • Results-Focused: Experience in implementing strategies to raise student achievement at KS3/KS4 and tracking pupil progress.
