We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic team, teaching KS3, KS4, and KS5 science. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education and a deep understanding of all sciences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape young minds and make a significant impact in their academic journey.
Day-to-day of the role:- Teach science subjects to students at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels, ensuring high-quality learning takes place.
- Engage in full timetable teaching, focusing solely on delivering lessons and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, attainment, and behaviour of students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
- Take on the responsibility of a form group, guiding and supporting students throughout the school year.
- Manage student behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour.
- Must possess QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).
- Proven experience in teaching science at secondary level.
- Strong understanding of the science curriculum and teaching standards.
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive educational atmosphere.
