gap healthcare is currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity on behalf of our clients based in Peterborough. We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to work with vulnerable young people who have complex needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role in a Children’s Residential service
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Work with all levels of the staff team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our young people at all times
  • Lead by example, managing a team of Support Workers to provide the best care for our young people, including conducting staff reviews, supervision, and professional development
  • Run the home in the absence of the Registered Manager and be part of a rostered on-call system during the week
  • Ensure that the needs of the young people are met, reviewing and recording any changes to those needs
  • Participate in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events within the home and the wider community

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid driving license and access to a car to commute to work
  • Proven experience in a similar role working with young people
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and supportively within a management team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
