As the Electrical Manager, you will oversee the electrical installations and operations for a large-scale commercial project. You will be responsible for managing electrical teams, coordinating with other trades, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards. You will act as the main point of contact for all electrical matters, ensuring effective communication and maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage and supervise all electrical aspects of the project, including installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and coordinate a team of electricians, supervisors, and subcontractors, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all electrical work meets the required specifications and industry standards, maintaining a high level of quality control throughout the project.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the project adheres to health and safety regulations and that the team follows best practices and safe working procedures.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources (materials, equipment, and labor) to ensure timely project delivery.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular progress updates and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Monitor project costs and schedules, ensuring electrical work is completed within budget and deadlines.
- Coordination: Collaborate closely with other project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any technical or logistical challenges.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid ECS card
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent health and safety qualifications.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an Electrical Manager on large commercial projects (minimum of 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, commercial building codes, and project management practices.
- In-depth understanding of electrical installations, testing, and commissioning procedures.
- Experience in managing electrical teams and subcontractors, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools.
