BDS are recruiting for a supported Housing Worker to work with vulnerable adults in supported housing who are on Bail, HDC or on license, based in Peterborough.

40 working hours, 35hrs paid, 5 hours lunch unpaid,  occasionally Saturday with Monday off. Late and early shifts pattens. 8-4pm and 2-10pm.

Pay; £13.72 PAYE or circa £18 Umbrella
Temporary ongoing position. 

Your duties will include;

  • To provide housing related support to vulnerable individuals together with providing housing and property management with the aim of achieving a successful move-on and achieve sole independence.
  • Plan effective Support and Safety Plans for each service user 
  • Deliver a minimum of two hours of support to service users weekly and update all support plans accordingly. 
  • Updating Resident Record Database 
  • Identify, report and manage all incidents of anti social behavior by any service user and record appropriately on database provided.
  • Allocated properties are to be visited weekly to ensure that repairs are reported and followed up, and the properties are kept at the required standards.   
  • Develop effective move-on plan with service users at the earliest opportunity, identifying realistic options for independent or more appropriate housing.
  • Support service users to undertake domestic tasks wherever possible.
  • Engage with colleagues from The Probation Service to deliver a coordinated and joined up approach to support for our service users.

The ideal candidate with have previous housing experience, including working with vulnerable adults supporting with tenancy related issues.

You will be required to have an enhanced DBS Certificate dated in the previous 12 months or on the updates service. Then a HMPPS Clearance will be done upon job offer.

You will be required to have a full Uk driving license, access to your own vehicle and business insurance.
