About Us:Clare Lodge is a secure, welfare-only, all-female children’s home based in Glinton, Peterborough. We provide individualised support to young people with complex needs, ensuring they receive the care and guidance they need.

The Opportunity:We are looking for empathetic and passionate individuals to join our proactive and professional care team. As a Residential Youth Care Worker, you will provide care and support while being a role model and advocate for our young people.

Residential Care Worker's Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support to young people with complex needs.
  • Act as a role model and advocate for the residents.
  • Build positive relationships and respond effectively to a range of emotions.
  • Work shifts including 7:30 - 16:30 and 13:00 - 22:00, with alternate weekends off.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Empathy and a passion for helping young people.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and record incidents.
  • Willingness to work every other weekend and bank holidays.
  • Willingness to do overnight stays (sleep-ins on a rota basis).
  • Ability to take part in physical activities.
  • Must be over the age of 21.
