Join Our client, a company dedicated to providing supported accommodation and day-to-day support to young people aged 16-25 under the care of Social Services. Our clients often come from challenging backgrounds, and many do not have English as their first language. We offer independent living in shared houses and ensure each young person receives the support they need.
Day-to-day of the role:- Work in an ‘open door’ office environment where young people drop in with various queries or for support.
- Handle a variety of tasks including attending social worker meetings, responding to queries from young people, adjusting heating settings in houses, and escorting young people to medical appointments.
- Perform office duties such as filing, completing forms, answering phones, and maintaining detailed records.
- Assist in maintaining our bespoke database and overseeing housing matters.
- Accompany young people to appointments and assist them with everyday queries and questions.
- Confidence and calmness in handling unexpected situations in a busy setting.
- Strong organisational and meticulous record-keeping skills.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with young people.
- Competence in using computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in typing and taking accurate meeting notes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the role.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure and child safeguarding training will be required.
- Experience in office administration.
- Previous experience working with young people.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from £26,000 to £28,000, paid monthly.
- Four weeks of annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
- Mileage reimbursement at £0.45 per mile for the use of own car for appointments.
