Principal Engineer (.NET Stack - Peterborough)
Our client is a leading global technology consulting firm that are looking for a Principal Engineer with rich knowledge of .NET based technologies to work on a major digital application transformation project with one of their key clients in the financial services sector.
Based in Peterborough and onsite for 3 days per week, this highly exciting and challenging role involves design, architecture, next-gen engineering and automation for Digital applications.
You will have technical oversight, coach and mentor a team of 30+ software developers whilst working directly with CTO, Head of Engineering and Architects to help execute the software engineering roadmap, scope, and deliverables.
Suitable professionals will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a Principal Engineer or similar role
- Expertise in .NET framework technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MVC)
- Expertise in Cloud solutions preferably AWS, EC2, S3, Lambda etc.
- Experience in Agile led technology projects (Value Stream model)
- Knowledge of Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines & Automation tools
- Understanding of Platform Engineering & SRE concepts
- Understanding of Software Architecture and Design Patterns
- Knowledge of Test Automation
- Some knowledge of Java technologies (Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Java EE etc.) is desirable

Package: £70,000 - £90,000 Basic + Benefits + Bonus
