Learning Support Assistant - Primary School in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - £85 to £95 per day - September 2024 - One to one

Looking for an opportunity to make an impact in the educational development of children within a school setting, as well as supporting with social and emotional development?

Tradewind have a fantastic opportunity for you! As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work one to one with a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), closely following their EHCP/IEP and implementing alternative learning strategies in order for them to achieve their targets. You will also lead small group interventions for students who may not be achieving their educational milestones.

Tradewind is collaborating with a wonderful community primary school in Peterborough, actively seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join them for the new academic year in September 2024. The school's staff team is exceptionally welcoming and supportive of new members, and they are currently undergoing a transformative phase to enhance the learning experience for their students. The children at this school are eager to learn, creating a dynamic and positive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Working one to one with students and small groups
  • Providing tailored support based on the students EHCP/IEP
  • Support the class teacher in creating engaging and exciting lessons
  • Monitor students progression and feedback to the teacher
  • Providing creative learning alternatives to allow equal access to the curriculum

**Requirements**

  • Prior experience in supporting children with SEN
  • A patient and understanding demeanour
  • Effective communication skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility in approach
