As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team. No two days are the same, but here is a brief overview of what your day-to-day duties may look like:

  • One of the most important aspects of your role is to build strong and meaningful relationships with our students, adapting to each student's way of learning.
  • Supporting the Class Tutor and working together to review the progress of each student.
  • Assisting in carrying out programmes devised by a multi-disciplinary team, such as Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Educational Psychologists from our Therapeutic Services department.
  • Assisting in curriculum work with the students to ensure positive outcomes in line with their targets.
  • Contributing to the development of the students through the provision of a healthy lifestyle and a variety of appropriate stimulating activities.
  • Supporting students to develop their communication skills utilizing methods appropriate to their abilities.
  • Ensuring that the classroom is well presented and safely maintained.
