Position: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students and faculty in a college environment. The ideal candidate will assist lecturers, provide academic and pastoral support to students, and contribute to a positive learning experience. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and student development.

3 different roles available

  • Health and Social Care 4 days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-4pm. Some experience/knowledge within health and social care would be beneficial, however, we need a strong character who isn’t afraid to support behaviour management and has experience of working with SEN learners. We really need a candidate who is pro-active and willing to get stuck into whatever the tutor needs.
  • SFI (Skills for Independence) 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-4pm. This is a class with complex SEN needs, so it's crucial to have someone with experience in supporting learners who face challenges such as autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing difficulties, or communication and language delays, as well as experience in providing personal care.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in an educational or support role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
