Job Title: Strategic Procurement Manager
Salary: Circa £70,000
Location: Peterborough
Type: Permanent, hybrid working
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify, evaluate, and negotiate with key suppliers.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost optimisation and improve supplier performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, Legal) to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor market trends and innovations to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Analyse procurement data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing (5+ years preferred).
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive cost efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with procurement systems and tools
