About:

Our client is a leading national supplier in the Social Housing sector, specialising in fire safety, security, and electrical services. With several new contracts secured, they are expanding their team. They are committed to progression, learning, and tenant safety, making attention to detail, communication, and pride in your work essential.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) and emergency lighting systems, Nurse Call, and Access Control in accordance with relevant British Standards.
  • Accurately complete engineer service reports and report any system deficiencies or deviations.
  • Maintain and report on emergency lighting systems and associated equipment like fire extinguishers and AOV’s.
  • Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department to ensure stock is replenished.
  • Emphasize Health and Safety, assessing risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Flexible work approach, minimum 40 hours per week, with opportunities for additional earnings through weekend work and participation in an out of hours call-out rota.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Previous experience with analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
  • FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals.
  • Good understanding of BS5839 parts one and six.
  • Good level of IT literacy.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
