About The Role:As Train Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards of trains, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and staff. This role plays a crucial part in the overall maintenance and appearance of trains, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train
  • Inspect and report any damages, graffiti, or vandalism to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand to perform daily tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Follow procedures for handling and disposing of cleaning chemicals and materials.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • You must have Right to Work in the UK
  • Previous experience in cleaning would be advantageous.
  • You will have strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to work night and weekend shifts.

Additional information:

  • You will need to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test prior to starting in this role.
  • You will also be required to complete a Local Track Safety Awareness (LTSA) training course.
