The HGV Technician Team Leader position offers an OTE of £47,500 per annum, with a basic salary of £42,484.
The role is based in Peterborough and involves a 40-hour contract with specific working hours alternating between two shifts.
Key responsibilities include routine vehicle maintenance, preparation for MOT inspections, diagnosing vehicle issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Candidates must have a Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualification and prior supervisory or leadership experience, while an HGV license is advantageous.
Overtime is available at a rate of time and a half for Monday to Saturday work, and double pay for Sundays and bank holidays.

HGV Technician Job Details
Basic Salary: £42,484pa
Working Hours:
Week 1 - Monday-Friday - 07:00-15:00
Week 2 - Monday-Friday - 15:00-23:00 & Saturday 08:00-12:00 (at overtime rate)
Location: Peterborough

40 Hour Contract
Overtime - Time and a Half Monday-Saturday & Double Pay Sundays and Bank Holidays worked

Responsibilities of an HGV Technician
·Routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards.
·Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection.
·Diagnosing of vehicles diagnostic equipment.
·Good housekeeping and H&S requirements.
·Ensure all paperwork is completed.
·Working closely with the team to create high levels of morale and focus to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and with excellence in quality.
·Maximising the shifts performance through effective problem solving, coaching & development.

Skills and Qualifications of an HGV Mechanic
·Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
·HGV licence is an advantage
·Prior supervisory/leadership experience
