About Our Client:

Our client, a leading supplier of brewing ingredients, is committed to providing the best ingredients to brewers across the United Kingdom. Operating from their 30,000 sq ft distribution facility in Peterborough, they pick, pack, and ship orders of malt and hops to brewers who create some of the most exciting beers in England, Scotland, and Wales.

About The Job:

Due to their ongoing expansion, our client is looking to fill a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative. As a Flexi / Bendi FLT Warehouse Operative, you will primarily be responsible for operating their ingredient packaging equipment to ensure the safe, secure, and efficient packing of ingredients for their valued customers. Additional tasks will include order picking, packing, wrapping, and customer despatch, as well as the light maintenance of plant machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and pack ingredients for storage in the warehouse, accurately recording the location of each inventory item.
  • Process and fulfil customer orders by picking, packing, and securely wrapping items onto pallets.
  • Perform light maintenance on plant machinery and ensure all areas of the warehouse are kept clean and free from safety hazards.
  • Update systems and paper-based records as required according to the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or risks, escalating them to the Warehouse Supervisor when necessary.
  • Complete all activities thoroughly and professionally.
  • Store stock items in the correct conditions within prescribed time frames.
  • Accurately record all inventory items within required time frames using provided systems.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to operate manufacturing machinery requiring physical loading and unloading of products.
  • Proficiency in operating IT systems and entering data accurately and consistently.
  • Bendi/Flexi forklift experience and licence.
  • Experience working in a distribution business within warehouse operations.

Desirable:

  • Experience using WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Experience working in milling operations.

This is a full-time position with a rotating shift pattern of 40 hours per week, between 06:00-14:30 and 08:00-17:00.
