We’re looking for a Technical Author to work on engineering material for several New Advanced Power Generation projects. Working for a Global Manufacturer who have a 90-year history and more than 22 million engines behind them you will be tasked with creating service and installation manuals for some of their most exciting applications to date!

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating Service Manuals, Service Periodicals, Application, and Installation Manuals, for both new and existing products that require technical analysis/research.
  • Planning, prioritisation, and time management to author and publish multiple publications
  • Collaboration with multiple departments (Engineering, Product Groups, Service Engineering, Compliance) to obtain technical information to complete high quality and specific publications.
  • Revisions of publications to the established documentation standards using customer feedback as guidance.
  • Using various authoring tools such as Windchill, Framemaker, Adobe Creative Studio and Microsoft Office 365 to complete publication, review, and approval processes.

Skills, experience, and qualifications you will have:

  • Engineering drawing, illustration, and model understanding / knowledge.
  • Excellent planning & time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret basic technical data.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with 3D modelling software ideally Windchill, ArborText, Adobe Creative Studio
  • Good working knowledge of Engine Aftertreatment Systems, and/or Electronic and Electrical Engineering would be an advantage
