Position Description:
The CNC Operator will operate and edit programs on the CNC Machining Centres and Lathes. On occasion may be required to carry out basic manual machining tasks.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
1Responsible for machining of components on a range of CNC Machinery.
2Will select and modify programs from a database and will also write programs when required.
3Ensure QA Cards & associated paperwork is completed correctly.
4Report any plant or equipment damage to Supervisor.
5Advise Supervisor of any damaged tooling or tooling required.
6Be willing to undertake extra training on manual machines.
7Ensuring that correct programs and tooling are selected.
8Reporting any drawing discrepancies to Supervisor.
9Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental:
1Responsible for ensuring that health, safety, environment, quality and general housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
2 Responsible for the safety of others around them.
3 Ensure that Machine Shop QA Cards are completed correctly.
Training & People:
1 Communicate effectively and positively with the team leader and deputy team leader at all times.
2 Maintain good working relationships with other team members.
3 Endeavour to keep personal VITAL profile up to date
4 Update personal competency framework
5 Ability to work effectively as a team member and an individual
