Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Peterhead
Salary: 25,000 - 30,000 (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:45am - 5:00pm)

Key Responsibilities:
* Bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
* Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with regulations
* Assisting with the preparation of year-end reports and financial statements
* Supporting the corporate tax return process
* Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
* General administrative duties including filing, invoicing, and correspondence
* Reconciling accounts and ensuring financial data accuracy
* Assisting with the implementation of financial systems and procedures
* Supporting senior accountants and working collaboratively with the team
* Fast-paced environment with exposure to multiple clients bookkeeping requirements


Requirements:
* Either 3 years of experience in accountancy or an HNC in Accounting
* Working knowledge of Sage or Xero accounting software
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Previous experience in a practice firm would be advantageous
