The Job You’ll Do;

  • Fabricate and weld components as per technical engineering drawings (MIG & TIG).
  • Single and multi-run fillets, burning and grinding.
  • Use of hand tools.
  • Assessing which welding equipment is required and which method is the most appropriate for a specific welding task.
  • Inspecting welded surfaces and dressing them for the best finish.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Inspecting finished work to verify that it meets specifications.
  • Ensuring that safe work practices are followed and adhered to.

About You;

  • Experience as a Welder/Fabricator within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
  • Happy to relocate to Peterhead in Scotland, where the work is based.
  • Be able to produce high quality MIG & TIG welds.
  • Experience welding mild steel and aluminium.
  • Experience of pipe welding would be desirable.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work to tight tolerances.
  • Able to work well independently with little supervision.
  • Good level of IT skills
