The organisation focuses on creating personalised learning experiences that integrate vocational and academic pathways, helping young people develop the skills needed for apprenticeships, employment, or further education.Role Overview: Employability TrainerAs an Employability Trainer, you will support learners in developing their knowledge and skills, enabling them to access suitable training and employment opportunities. The role involves teaching Employability, Customer Service, and Warehousing and Storage to learners aged 16 to 19 (up to 24 with an EHCP). You will work closely with the Curriculum and Learning Lead, who oversees quality assurance, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Employability, Customer Service, and Warehousing and Storage lessons.
  • Develop and maintain schemes of work to support service delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver innovative lesson plans, group activities, and individualised instruction.
  • Provide one-to-one learner support when required.
  • Assist learners in achieving their goals through tailored guidance.
Qualifications and Experience:We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:
  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Degree, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • A professional qualification at Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in alternative provision settings or working with learners with EAL, SEN, or other complex needs.
  • Proven experience engaging disengaged or hard-to-reach young people aged 14 to 19 years old.
  • Strong motivational and interpersonal skills, with high expectations for learner behaviour and achievement.
Additional Information:
  • Salary: £22,307.55 - £31,601.10 pro-rata (based on £24,961 - £35,360 FTE).
  • Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (negotiable).
  • Contract: Permanent, term-time only (41 weeks per year).
  • Requirements: Access to a car and a full, valid driving licence.
