Due to the rapid growth of the business, our client is seeking a part-time, permanent Senior Accounts Assistant to join their motivated, driven, and close-knit team.As the Senior Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This multi-functional role involves leading the accounts’ function and producing financial reports up to the point of external accounting.The Benefits?

The Role?
- Purchase Ledger Management: Matching, coding, and processing invoices; conducting monthly supplier payment runs; resolving invoice queries; reconciling statements; addressing aged creditor balances.
- Sales Ledger Management: Issuing sales invoices; handling customer queries; performing credit control; resolving aged debtor balances.
- Invoice Management: Administering supplier invoice queries; managing the invoice log and creditors ledger; reconciling supplier statements.
- Client and Supplier Liaison: Resolving billing issues, disputes, and maintaining positive business relationships.
- Month-End Duties: Managing stock, journals, and prepayments.
- Process Improvement: Exploring and creating new ways to resolve problems with processes, technology, or team members to improve overall efficiency.
- Accuracy and Coding: Ensuring high levels of accuracy in input and coding.
- Payment Management: Ensuring prompt payments through weekly payment runs.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Reporting: Producing and maintaining ad hoc reports, including data analysis and interpretation.
- Inbox Management: Managing the finance inbox.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Performing bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, trial balances, preparing monthly management accounts, cashflow, budgeting and forecasting, and preparing periodic financial statements, mainly Profit & Loss. These duties will be low volume and only a small part of the role.
The Person?
- Qualifications: AAT Level 4 qualified.
- Computer and Software Skills: Proficient in Sage 50 and Excel.
