If you're eager to take on more responsibility and gain exposure to a broader range of accounting tasks, this role will help you build the skills needed to progress into an Assistant Accountant position.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Supporting the month-end process, including handling rebates, prepayments, accruals, and posting journals
Assisting with the preparation of balance sheets and P&L statements
Helping with the preparation of financial reports and ensuring accuracy across all ledgers
Assisting with the Purchase Ledger and assisting with the Sales Ledger
Performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Getting involved in projects to improve financial processes
Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks and financial analysis as required

What you will need:

Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant / Junior Accountant / Finance Officer
Good Excel knowledge, including VLookups and Pivot tables
A desire to grow in the role and gain exposure to other areas of accounts
