The Role:

Quality & Compliance is at the core of everything we do, enabling us to operate effectively and efficiently in accordance the industry standards, accreditation and frameworks essential for our business. To support the implementation and future development of our Q&C strategy, COOMBES is seeking a Quality and Compliance Manager to join us on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will assist the Senior Quality & Office Manager in the implementation of new processes and procedures, and will support and educate colleagues to maintain consistency in internal processes and external standards, to ensure best practice across the business.

You’ll take a leading role in audit processes including periodic internal audits and the management and coordination of external audits or assessments. We are always looking for ways to improve the way that we do things and through regular review of process, documentation and audits you will help to identify and suggest improvements that can be made to better efficiency, effectiveness and to ensure best practice.

You will take ownership of internal Q&C processes, including control of Quality Management Systems, maintaining job file structures, and chairing internal Periodic meetings. You will collate, analyse and report on key metrics to identify and highlight trends, risks and opportunities.  And as part of the Bid team, you will prepare the Q&C elements and responses for external PQQs and tenders.

The Candidate:

Working in a similar role, you’ll have significant experience of working with controlled systems and of the compliance required for ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001. You will have good knowledge and understanding of audit processes and may hold Internal Auditor qualifications.

You’ll be process driven, a tenacious problem-solver. Highly organised, you can successfully manage the demands of concurrent projects and audits.

You’ll have excellent IT skills, especially in advanced Excel processes, and MS office packages.  You’ll have experience of writing reports and in the manipulation and presentation of data for reporting processes.

As a confident and proactive communicator, you’ll see the benefit of fostering productive and friendly working relationships with colleagues across the business.

  • Significant experience of ISO’s 9001, 14001, 45001.
  • Experience of working with controlled systems.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects/audits running simultaneously.
  • Process-driven, highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in your approach to work and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent IT skills and highly competent in MS Word and Excel.

Desirable:

  • Internal Auditor qualification/s
  • Previous experience using Power BI and Sharepoint (not on the JD but it should be)
