Join a fast-growing, family-run contractor leading the way in rail, forestry, and environmental services. This fast-growing company is expanding its in-house environmental team and looking for a passionate Senior Ecologist to help drive their success.

The Role:As a Senior Ecologist, you'll lead ecological surveys and strategies across rail, forestry, and civil projects. With a hands-on approach, you'll mentor junior team members and provide expert advice on protected species and environmental compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark and grow into a leadership role, with full support and training provided.

In this role you will utilise a practical approach to problem-solving and be self-driven, and capable of working independently. Open to adopting new methods and technologies, you have proven experience using GIS or mapping software to analyse and interpret environmental data for reports and surveys. Your strong analytical and writing skills enable you to produce clear, accurate reports on time. As a natural leader, you take pride in inspiring and mentoring others to grow and succeed.

Role Requirements:

  • Strong ecological experience with expertise in species surveys and environmental impact
  • Associate Member of CIEEM (or working towards)
  • A leader with a passion for sustainability and mentoring
  • Previous rail/forestry experience and PTS certification a plus
