Not-for-profit organisation based in Petersfield, Hampshire, has an opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to undertake the day to day management of the finance team whilst supporting the organisation through an exciting period of growth and transformation.What will the Finance Manager role involve?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the main responsibilities of the Finance Manager role will involve:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliation of all balance sheets with supporting information;
  • Production of draft financial statements for all entities, prepared in accordance with SORP and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Act as key point of contact with external auditors providing any information requested;
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT ensuring that any changes to policy are implemented as appropriate;
  • Management of the finance team ensuring continual development and support for the individuals.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:

  • Applicants for the Finance Manager will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with previous experience of working within a not-for-profit organisation and the preparation of accounts in accordance with Charity SORP;
  • Previous exposure of successfully managing and developing a team will be essential to undertake the role successfully as will a proven ability to recognise opportunities to improve internal controls and policies and implement effective change where necessary.
