Bennett and Game are currently working with a manufacturing & retail company based in Petworth. They are looking for a young and enthusiastic trainee to join their skilled team and learn the art of machining and silversmithing. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills from experienced professionals in a supportive and creative environment.
You'll gain valuable experience in precision machining, metalworking, and traditional silversmithing techniques, with the chance to work on a variety of projects. If you're eager to learn, enjoy working with your hands, and have a keen eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Learn & Do:
Work alongside experienced machinists and silversmiths to develop your skills.
Learn to operate lathes, mills, and other precision machining tools.
Assist in crafting, repairing, and finishing silver and metalwork pieces.
Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Support the team with workshop organization and daily tasks.
Occasionally drive to suppliers, clients, or job sites as needed.
Job Requirements
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
Interest in craftsmanship, metalworking, or engineering.
A valid driver's license - Essential
A team player who's reliable and motivated.
No prior experience necessary - just enthusiasm and a desire to develop a trade!
Working Hours & Salary
Monday - Friday - 38hr Week
Salary - Apprentice rate - £10P/H
Expereinced candidate rate within Machining can be discussed also
