Looking for an opportunity to gain your AAT Level 4 and gain Accountancy Practice experience?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AAT Apprentice/Junior Accountant to join a Chartered Practice based on the outskirts of York. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting while working towards achieving your AAT qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:• Assisting senior accountants with day-to-day tasks such as bookkeeping, data entry, and invoice processing.• Supporting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.• Conducting reconciliations of accounts.• Learning and utilizing accounting software under supervision.• Assisting with payroll preparation and processing.• Providing general administrative support to the accounting department.

Requirements:• Strong attention to detail and numerical aptitude• Excellent organizational and time management skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).• Prior experience in an office environment, preferably in an accounting or finance role (though not required).• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is a plus.
