Are you an experienced Electrical Technician with a passion for precision and quality? Staff Power is recruiting skilled technicians to join our clients team near Pickering, where youll play a crucial role in assembling and testing electronic and electrical components to meet ISO9001 standards.
Job Purpose:
To assemble and test electronic/electrical components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and Wiring: Build electronic/electrical assemblies from schematics, drawings, and verbal instructions, maintaining ISO9001 quality standards.
- Wiring and Soldering: Work on wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformers, control consoles, and connectors.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies, using computer-controlled operations as needed.
- Quality and Efficiency: Ensure all assemblies meet department quality standards and efficiency targets, maintaining safe working practices and strong housekeeping standards.
Accountabilities:
- Perform heavy-duty cable wiring, deck cable assembly, and control system outfitting.
- Document all work according to project requirements.
- Meet assembly/sub-assembly build times for major project schedules.
Qualifications:
- Education: ONC in electrical/electronic
- Accreditation: 18th Edition
Essential Technical Competencies:
- Experience with low-voltage AC/DC panel wiring, high-voltage installations, control/data systems, and fiber optic handling/termination.
Key Skills:
- Strong scheduling, quality, and safety awareness.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Hard-working, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
Experience:
- 1-5 years of experience in shop operations.
- Background in production processes and electrical/electronic systems.
