The Best Connection are currently recruitingProduction Operativesfor a well-established company based in Pickering that supply the Automotive Industry.
The positions are temporary to permanent after a qualifying period (pay rate will increase on going permanent)and are due to start in October.
Duties of the role include:
- The assembly of plastic car parts
- Quality checking of products before they are passed to the next stage of the process
- Operating press machines
- Working in a very fast paced environment
- Labelling and packing of parts
- Ensuring you are always compliant with regards to Health & Safety procedures
The candidate:
- Able to work shifts (both days and nights)
- Reliable
- Possess good English (Verbal & written) and be able to complete a literacy and numeracy test
- Previous experience of Production/Machine Operating would be an advantage
- Able to commit to long term work
Hours of work (must be able to commit to all three rotating shifts):
Week 1 (Days) - Wednesday to Friday 07.50am-20.00pm followed by two days off
Week 2 (Nights) - Monday to Wednesday 19.50pm-08.00am followed by four days off
Week 3 (Split Shifts) - Monday &Tuesday 07.50am-20.00pm followed by one day off; Thursday and Friday 19.50pm-08.00am followed by four rest days
Pay Rates:
- First 12 weeks 12.00 per hour basic rate
- Overtimepaid at 16.80 per hour (paid after working allocated shifts in a week)
- After a qualifying period of 12 weeks basic rate increases to 13.00per hour and overtime rate of 18.20 per hour
