I am urgently seeking a skilled Payroll OfficerDue to increasing demands, my client requires an experienced Payroll Officer to start ASAP. This is a critical role ensuring all of my client's valued employees are paid accurately and on time.About the Role:As Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process for all employees for this substantial not-for-profit organisation. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure precise salary payments while maintaining strict compliance with all relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Process complete payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and update payroll records via the payroll system
  • Calculate and process statutory deductions (taxes, NI, and other contributions)
  • Generate regular payroll reports and distribute pay information to managers
  • Respond to and resolve payroll queries quickly and effectively
  • Collaborate with Operational colleagues to improve payroll processes
  • Stay current with the latest payroll legislation and regulations
What We Need From You:
  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing with various in-house systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills (particularly Excel, Word, and Teams)
  • Experience providing payroll advice to line managers
  • Process mapping skills and ability to document workflows
  • Systems thinking approach to complex problem-solving
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively
